First and Foremost, Pastor Byrden is one whom God has called and chosen to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Byrden is a native of Sumter, South Carolina. He is the son of Ms. Mildred E. Byrden of Sumter and The Late Mr. David Jenkins of Sumter, South Carolina. He is married to the former Dorothy Moore of Pinewood, South Carolina.

Pastor Byrden is the proud father of three daughters, Tymicia, Tyandra and Regan Alexis, the proud Papa of 3 grands McKenzie [aka] Mac, Jaziya [aka] Zy, and Delonte [aka] DJ. one godson, Eric Littles.

Pastor Byrden, continued his education at Southern University, Baton Rouge Louisiana. He holds a Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Junior College (aka) South University and Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry Degree from Southern Bible Institute & Seminary, Augusta, Georgia.

Pastor Byrden is a recipient of the  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award presented by The Midlands Coalition of Churches. Pastor Byrden was honored and recognized for his many accomplishments by the Senate of the State of South Carolina; The Late State Senator John L. Scott, Jr. presented this award to Pastor Byrden. 

Pastor Byrden was presented the ‘Key to the City of Columbia’ by Mayor Steve Benjamin. 

Pastor Byrden is very active in his community whereby he has served on several Committees and Boards.

Pastor Byrden is the past Chairperson and Treasurer for the Citywide Revival, sponsored by Cooperative Clergy Fellowship of South Carolina. 

Pastor Byrden, was appointed as Chairperson of Late Night  Services  for The Baptist Educational & Missionary  Convention of South Carolina and Past Vice-Chair of Midlands Coalition of Churches, Columbia S.C.

Pastor Byrden, currently serves as President for The Southeast Region Conference of Churches.
